The best of 2019...

Writer: Jim Parks, CFP, AIFJim Parks, CFP, AIF

One of my favorite ways to reflect upon a year is through the books and movies that defined it. It is always interesting to look back on what we were collectively drawn to-the messages, emotions, ideas and stories that impacted us reveal so much about our cultural focus and it is interesting to take stock! Disappearing Earth by Julia Phillips The Topeka School by Ben Lerner Exhalation by Ted Chiang Lost Children Archive by Valeria Luiselli Night Boat to Tangier by Kevin Barry

And the top 5 movies also as reported by the New York Times are:

And the top movies of the year also as reported by the New York Times are: Honeyland The Souvenir Parasite The Irishman Marriage Story

I would love to hear your top picks for 2019 and also your opinion on these listed if you read or saw any of them.  One of my goals is to choose one from each list to tackle in the coming weeks so please share your thoughts!

Have a great weekend!
