Richard Kjetsaa’s interest in financial planning was inspired by friends and a desire to improve his own financial knowledge and decision-making capabilities. As he embarked on a career in the field, he quickly recognized the gratification that comes from providing clients with careful and thoughtful financial advice, delivered without pressure, and in a way that addresses their goals and alleviates fear.
Working as part of the Parks Wealth Management team, he plays an integral role in managing the investment strategies of our model portfolios by monitoring financial market indicators, executing trades and rebalancing portfolios. In addition, he implements buy and sell orders in accordance with client instructions. Richard also assists in the preparation of summary reports of client portfolios, as well as cost basis and tax reporting. A student of investing, he is an avid reader of financial literature and has published numerous articles in academic journals and trade publications on mutual fund research.
In addition, Richard works as a part-time professor of economics and finance, sharing his knowledge and experience in finance with others.
Richard earned a doctorate in economics prior to earning the CFP® professional designation.
Away from the office and classroom, Richard spends time with his wife and daughters, vacationing, visiting relatives, watching baseball and football, and reading newspapers, magazines, and books.
